Hola hola hola kweenie bops!! This past month has been muy divertido. I’ve traveled to new places, been reunited with old friends and have truly been trying to live up to the YOBO motto bc you truly only Barthelona ONCEEEE. Time has been flying by here and it’s crazy to think that ANOTHER month has gone by so quickly, yet so much has happened since my last post!
I love studying abroad. I want to do it again, in a million different cities. Maybe I’ll just move to Europe after college. MAYBE SO!!!!
¡Hola mi guapas! I’ve been bad about posting photos and blogs from the past couple of weeks here in BCN, but here’s a post about my weekend in Amsterdam this September!!
Not everything about studying abroad is magical, even thought it may look like it from everyone’s perfect Instagrams and Facebook photo albums but LEMME tell ya nobody’s life is perfect and my blog ( et moi) are an open ass book so if you’re sick of all the fake smiles and facetune body photoshopping stuff all these basic ass hoes are using just read my blog LMAO
SIDE NOTE: I began writing this post on September 19th
I’ve officially been in Barcelona for two weeks and I absolutely love it. I started my first class at CEA my program and had orientation for my three other classes at Pompeu Fabra, a local university here this past week. I am excited to start my Spanish course at Pompeu Fabra (UPF) because every day I’ve been learning new words and finding more locals to practice the language with and I know that starting the class will just be another big step in getting better and better at speaking Spanish.
Time for a study abroad adventure, which means TIME to get back to blogging! It’s funny to think that I started blogging when I was 16 for a competition I took place in within my summer study abroad program in Biarrtiz, France for three weeks, and since then it has blossomed into a fun, creative life-long hobby and outlet for me.
As you may know, I am the KWEEN of flea markets, so obviously I’ve done my fair share of flea-ing since arriving in Nashville. First, I attended the Porter Flea in Nashville, which only happens one weekend each summer and luckily I was here for it! It takes place in a huge warehouse and tons of funky vendors were there; it almost felt like browsing through shops on Venice and Santa Monica. I got a cute black maxi dress, a funky stone bangle and obviously a macaron because of course they happened to have a vendor selling them lol I simply can’t be tamed around french pastries.
Moving to a new city is pretty overwhelming. You can research about the best restaurants and bars as much as you want, but nothing prepares you for the amount of inherited ignorance you assume when you make your first wrong turn down a one-way street. The sign is clearly there ( ONE WAY ONLY) but you were too busy looking down at Google maps on your phone trying to figure out how to get to the closest gas station, because you literally don’t even know where that is.
